REVIEWS
Enjoyed class. Angeles was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher. Beautiful setting by Quail Lake, but tables for instruction were spread far apart and there was no shade on this very hot day.

I loved the art elements. The "soul" facing elements were uncomfortable.

I'm a Colorado Springs native, and I love art!!
Angeles Jonske
Angeles is a mixed media artist inspired by bold, expressive styles such as Basquiat and pop art. With a background in printmaking and mixed media, her work combines layered textures, graphic lines, found objects, collage, and contrasting elements to create art that feels both raw and playful. Her work has been exhibited internationally, featured in a national art publication, and shown throughout the St. Louis art community.

In addition to creating art, Angeles spent several years teaching art to youth through the Hip Hop Poetry Project in juvenile detention centers, helping students explore creativity and self-expression through hands-on art experiences. Her workshops focus on experimentation, confidence, and making art approachable for beginners.

This painting called ?Poppy? was created from an online painting class that teaches loose acrylics. As a member, we are permitted to use the lessons for practice adding to our technique development. I added my own style using acrylics to bring the image more color, gradient and vibrancy. The painting is displayed in my home for personal enjoyment. The original reference photo used was taken by the teacher for lesson use.

This is a 16x20, oil painting, on linen.I was going through my files of reference photos and found this very old postcard. I remember buying it in an antique store in Florence, CO. I pulled it out, faded and worn and loved the composition! So I painted it! This painting will appear in Plein Air Magazine in June, with PikesPeak Plein Air Painters!

Title or Location: Cloud Dancer
?Cloud Dancer? is a 36 x 48 inch acrylic on canvas. The inspiration came from decades ago when my daughter took ballet lessons. She told me after one of her performances that a feeling of elation came over her during part of the dance, and that she felt like she was dancing in the clouds. The painting depicts an adult rather than my young daughter, but the hair color in the painting matches that of my daughter which beautifully compliments the purple clouds.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.

I am Tracey, a self-taught artist from Plymouth, UK, I have been developing my coloured pencil techniques for the past year . My aim is always to capture not only the likeness of an animal but also the personality and spirit that make them so special to the people who love them.In this piece, Colin is shown resting amongst a vibrant meadow of wildflowers, his striking green eyes drawing the viewer in. The detailed fur work, delicate whiskers, and colourful floral surroundings were all carefull
